My oldest created some work for me last weekend. All the grandkids have cowboy gear at Grammy and Pa’s, and he repurposed a teddy bear scarf I made a few years ago into a lasso. My niece, who has a pink and silver hat and a stick horse named Rainbow, ordered a yarn lasso in pink when she couldn’t talk my son out of his.
I made the first on my french knitter, but I figured the bit of pink yarn I had in my stash would go further with a crochet chain stitch. It’s the only crochet stitch I can do, and I had to get a bit of a refresher from Google. These sites jogged my memory.
I ended up with a quick three feet to go in the mail this week. My tension wasn’t perfect, but it will tie up Bad Guy Bandit Pa just fine. Good practice for me and a fun treat for a rhinestone cowgirl. And so pink, so Sheriff Callie.
