My wonderful, crafty (in the best way!) friend, Allison, told her mom about my blog. And she put me to work! So many classic and unique ideas to get to, and one of her festive Easter offerings is this adorable and easy Easter bunny. My goal is to attempt this craft this weekend, but I wanted to share it so we can all be ready with a cute Easter host/hostess gift for our holiday travels.
Many thanks to my mom, who refilled our snack cake stash on her latest visit. (Zebra Cakes - not just for breakfast anymore!) But in a bowl acting as an Easter basket, I’d want more themed candies - maybe some jelly beans and wooden spoons.
Allison's mom used two dishtowels for her bunny. I found these Family Corner Dishtowel Bunny instructions, with clear pictures and two washcloths instead of a second dishtowel. Pro tip: I’ve been told that cheaper towels from the Dollar Store keep your bunny from looking “ripped.”
This bib from Crafting Cousins would be a new parent’s dream (even if they don’t know why right away). http://crafting-cousins.blogspot.com/2012/06/dishtowel-bibs.html
And this sweet craft is more my speed - appliqué and embellishments to brighten up a plain cloth from A Little Crafting. http://alittlecrafting.blogspot.com/2011/04/3-little-birds.html
This weekend is the Cherry Blossom Festival - such a great time.
And, coming up SOON, the Nashville Zoo is having a Party for the Planet on Earth Day, April 21. They’re hosting a Recycled Art Contest for kids from pre-K through high school, and the art must be submitted to the Croft Center from April 16 to April 19 to be eligible for the prizes.
