This morning I was awakened by a storm around 4:00. Lightning, thunder, wind- I had to get up and clean, just walk around a bit. As I was beginning to wonder if those boys sleeping soundly while the rain poured were mine, I heard some whimpering from the crib.
And it was apparently party time! I tried to settle the youngest back to sleep, but he was too happy and wiggly. He ended up playing trains in the floor while the sun rose.
While he was up, I thought I'd try an intriguing recipe from "One Little Project" - Marshmallow Dough.
The dough was elastic and a bit sticky, but more cornstarch fixed that. So I kneaded it and presented it to my youngest bear.
Remember how we'd both been up since 4:00AM? I let him play with this before his breakfast, and he pretty much focused on eating it the whole time. I played with it, stretched it out, and made ropes to show him, but he'd try to grab it in midair with his teeth. Not my best logistical work. I've since had a nap or two.
Later, as the boys have occupied themselves with trains,
I was able to search for Star Wars activities and food for May the Fourth Be With You!
I found a fun "Shoot the Death Star" target game from "Oh So Savvy Mom."
