I garnished them with fake moss on sale from the summer, and I added a cicada exoskeleton to my little bird, because those things are just creepy. It should be easy to take off at the end of October for storage, since it would get squashed in a box.
You might ask, "Why a cicada exoskeleton?" Here's why:
They look great together! My husband's right, he's probably not going to escape having a Halloween party this year.
This weekend has been nice and relatively quiet. I got some loom-knitting done while we watched "Epic," which would have been fantastic without the dialogue or storyline. Why do I deviate from Disney?
And I got my Halloween treat glasses in. I was inspired by the eclipse to see what other glasses were out there; I loved this story from the American Paper Optics in Bartlett, and I wanted to support them if I could:
But they're only into eclipse glasses, so I went online and got some kaleidoscope glasses to give out at Halloween. My husband thinks it's horrible to give out non-candy treats, and while I generally agree, the glasses might be unusual enough to be comparable to a Snickers (or at least a Crunch bar!).
